Event Recap September 2026 INLIVIAN Monthly Roundtable

INLIVIAN property managers and the Weatherspoon Security team met for September’s roundtable to review the month, tackle a pressing safety issue, and get ahead of the holiday season.

We started with an icebreaker and a quick feedback survey. Your answers help shape what we cover at future roundtables, so thank you to everyone who weighed in.

Next, we looked at September’s activity. A small group of properties accounted for most of the month’s calls, and reviewing those trends together helps us focus attention and resources where they’re needed most.

This month’s featured issue was domestic violence. Domestic-related calls are rising across our communities, and the group walked through the standing protocol that protects residents and supports later court action. Every domestic call should be documented with the report number, address, and parties involved, even when no charges are filed.

Staff should never step in to mediate. The first call is always to 911, followed by the property manager and security. Addresses with repeat calls should be flagged for a follow-up visit and a wellness check. Victims should be reminded that they can request an emergency lock change and a unit transfer, and every victim should be referred to Safe Alliance’s 24-hour Hope Line and our victim services contact.

With the holidays approaching, managers also compared notes on the safety concerns that tend to pick up this time of year, including package theft, unfamiliar visitors, and units left vacant while residents travel.

We wrapped up with MVP shoutouts. Each attendee recognized the person who makes their job easier, from maintenance and front office staff to residents and security officers. It was a good reminder that keeping a community safe takes a whole team.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We’ll see you at October’s roundtable.
